Jaime Mesner

Designer, 3HD•design

From designing and constructing original apparel designs, styling runway models during New York Fashion Week, creating dinnerware and décor from scratch on a potter’s wheel, to designing home products for a major retailer, Jaime has always followed her passion to create and design.

During her college career, Jaime worked as an intern with Pelle Pelle by Mark Buchanan, in Auburn Hills, Michigan where she was introduced to all aspects of the design process. It was at Pelle Pelle that Jaime helped to produce their fashion shows. Having earned an Apparel Design degree with an emphasis on Graphic Design from Central Michigan University, she joined Dillard’s Department Store, in Little Rock, Arkansas as a textile designer for women, men and children’s apparel. Her skills as a CAD artist developed even further when she worked her way through the apparel designer levels at Sears Roebuck and Company (now known as Sears Holdings Corporation) in Illinois. Jaime designed for all product categories including children’s apparel sold only at Sears under the Disney label.

Jaime’s versatile design abilities enabled her to join Miller Opie as a valuable part of the design team for the Home Fashions Department at Sears. She was able to grow as a designer while creating tabletop, linens, home décor as well as bedding and bath products. At Sears, she worked and designed with license brands such as Ty Pennington and Lands’ End.

In 2006 Jaime started DEMETRA DESIGNS offering custom design work from graphics to clothing. Her company’s name was inspired by her Greek heritage and her beloved Grandfather, “Papou.” This new adventure gave Jaime the chance to connect with Miller once again at 3HD Design and is allowing her to continue in following her dream to create and design!

Jaime lives in the Chicago suburbs with her childhood sweetheart, Tom Mesner, and their fluff-ball dog, Copper.
